Description
BOSON BIOTECH Rapid Antigen Self-Test for SARS-CoV-2
Self-test kit by non-professional users. The COVID-19 Antigen Detection Kit is a membrane immunochromatographic assay that uses highly sensitive monoclonal antibodies to detect the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein.
The test strip consists of the following parts: sample well, reagent part, reaction membrane and absorbent pad. The reagent part contains colloidal gold conjugated to the monoclonal antibody against the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein, the reaction membrane contains the secondary antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein.
The whole strip is enclosed in a plastic sheath. When the sample is added to the sample well, the conjugate absorbed in the reagent part dissolves and migrates with the sample. If the SARS-CoV-2 antigen is present in the sample, the anti-SARS-CoV-2 complex is conjugated and the virus is captured by the specific anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies applied to the test line area ( T).
The absence of the T line suggests a negative result. A red line appears in the control line area (C), indicating that the correct volume of sample has been added and the membrane has discharged the sample. The detection limit of this product is approximately 0.05 ng / mL of SARSCoV-2 nucleocapsid protein solution.
How to use:
- Gently insert the sample swab 2-3 cm into a nasal cavity.
- Gently rotate the shaft inside the nose 5 times for 20 seconds.
- Do not force the tampon to avoid injury. Repeat this step for the other nostril.
- Remove the aluminum seal from a sample extraction tube.
- Place the sample buffer in the sample extraction tube.
- Make 5 rotational movements with the sample rod in the sample extraction tube solution.
- Squeeze the sample extraction tube with your fingers and move the rod up and down at least 3 times to expel the liquid from the swab.
- Remove the sample buffer.
- Place the measuring cap firmly on the sample extraction tube.
- Gently squeeze the sample extraction tube 3 times to mix the sample solution.
- Let the sample extraction tube stand for 1 minute.
- Open the foil pouch and remove the test strip
- Hold the sample extraction tube upside down.
- Squeeze the tube to add 3 drops of sample solution to the test strip well.
- Read the result after 15 minutes. The result is considered inaccurate and invalid after 30 minutes.
- Do not insert a new sample solution into a used test card.
Interpretation of Results: Positive (+): Red bands appear on both T and C lines after 15-30 minutes, Negative (-): A red band appears on C line, while no red bands appear on T line after 15- 30 minutes, Invalid: If no red band appears on line C, this indicates that the test result is invalid. Repeat the test with another card.
Children under 14 should be tested by their parents or legal guardians. For people who cannot perform the test on their own, the test must be performed by their legal guardians. This product is intended for COVID-19 self-diagnosis only.
The final diagnosis should not be made on the basis of the results of just one test, but should be made by a medical professional after considering the clinical symptoms and the results of other tests.A negative result indicates that there is no virus in the sample or that the viral load is below the detection limit of this product.
The possibility of a viral infection of the patient cannot be completely excluded. A positive result indicates that the sample tested has a viral load above the detection limit of this product. However, the intensity of the test line color will not be related to the severity of the infection or the progression of the patient's disease.
The amount of viral antigens in the sample decreases with the duration of the disease. Samples taken a week after the onset of symptoms are more prone to false negative results. If the result is positive, contact your doctor as soon as possible or seek help from a professional medical institution. A molecular test is needed to confirm viral infection.
A negative result cannot completely rule out the possibility of a viral infection. Incorrect sampling or low viral load can cause a false negative result. If nose injuries occur during sampling, seek medical attention.
When the test is complete, disinfect the sample rod, test card and other used items with bleach (containing 5% -9% sodium hypochlorite). Wrap the disinfected items, store them in their packaging and throw them away with household waste. Wash your hands thoroughly after testing.
Store at 2 ° C to 30 ° C. Keep away from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a dry place.
