Description
Dimensions:
3 units of 5 x 5 cm
Indications:
Condress is indicated for the treatment of bedsores, vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, chronic skin lesions, acute and traumatic wounds, as a stimulator of the physiological healing process.
Condress is also indicated for use as a local hemostatic to be used in surgical procedures such as reconstructive vascular surgery, carotid surgery, abdominal and gynecological, orthopedic and trauma surgery, odontology and in the emergency room to control capillary bleeding.
Despite its excellent haemostatic properties, it should not replace ligation or direct compression in case of heavy bleeding. Anticoagulant therapies do not interfere with its activity.
Features:
Condress dressings, consisting of pure lyophilized heterologous native type 1 collagen of equine origin (extracted from horse tendon), help to accelerate the healing process of chronic skin lesions, acute and traumatic wounds.
Condress forms a layer of gel on the bottom of the lesion which is slowly reabsorbed by the underlying tissue, naturally accelerating the tissue repair process thanks to its mechanical action.
Condress protects the wound from the external environment and allows to maintain a constant moist environment on the wound bed. The humid environment is the key to faster healing. Maintaining a moist wound interface consistently is critical in the wound healing process.
How to use:
Perform the dressing with aseptic procedure. Do not use in the presence of a local infection. In this case, proceed with systemic antibiotic and / or topical antimicrobial treatment.
Avoid use on excessively exuding wounds.Clean the wound according to local clinical protocols trying to remove any purulent materials and / or necrotic fragments from the bottom and edges of the wound.
Apply the device on the wound, after having moistened it with saline solution. Use one or more plates contiguously and overlapping if necessary to cover the entire lesion.
If used as a hemostatic, and if the operation is carried out being unsure whether it has been performed under aseptic conditions, the device must be removed after haemostasis has taken place.
