Description
Indications:
Enema Lax is a drug indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation.
Enema Lax is a hyperosmotic solution of sodium phosphates, stabilized and buffered at pH 5.5.
The evacuating action of Enema Lax rectal solution derives above all from its hyperosmotic property, which is a common feature of saline laxatives.
After introduction into the rectum, Enema Lax rectal solution draws other water from the surrounding tissues by osmotic effect, thus increasing the volume of the intestinal contents.
This increased volume increases intestinal peristalsis causing a discharge of the fecal mass.
The effect usually occurs about 5 minutes after administration.
How to use:
Adults and adolescents: the full dose of the bottle.
Children over 2 years: half a bottle or a quarter, according to medical opinion (133 ml).
Method of administration: do not exceed the recommended doses.
Laxatives should be used as infrequently as possible and for no more than seven days.
Take preferably in the evening.
Use for longer periods of time requires a doctor's prescription after adequate evaluation of the individual case.
Enema-Lax can be practiced at room temperature.
If you prefer lukewarm, just put it in contact with hot water (by immersion or under the tap).
For a better effect it is advisable to practice Enema Lax in the lying position on the left side.
For a greater cleaning action, assume the genupectoral position for a few minutes, immediately after administration.
