Description
Indications:
Betadine 10% Alcoholic skin solution contains povidone iodine, a disinfectant for local use. Betadine 10% Alcoholic Skin Solution is indicated for the cleansing and disinfection of minor skin lesions such as small superficial wounds and pressure sores (skin lesions affecting parts of the body subjected to pressure for prolonged periods) of minor entity, of adults and children over 6 months of age. The medicine can be used for disinfection of intact skin before surgery.
How to use:
Apply the undiluted Betadine alcohol solution once or twice over the entire area of the skin to be disinfected. Distribute the product with a sterile gauze. Allow to dry completely Warning: do not exceed the indicated doses. The alcohol solution is highly flammable: it must dry completely before any devices are applied. In pre-operative preparation, avoid accumulation under the patient, as chemical burns of the skin can occur. Prolonged exposure to wet conditions related to the solution may cause irritation or, rarely, severe skin reactions.
Excipients:
Glycerol, Macrogol lauryl ether, Dibasic sodium phosphate, Citric acid monohydrate, Sodium hydroxide, Purified water.
